Frederick Mulder Foundation is a London based grant making trust funded by Frederick Mulder’s business dealing in European Printmaking.
We envisage a world which is fair, secure and environmentally sustainable and in which the rights of future generations are respected in decisions taken today. Towards these ends, we fund organisations which focus on:
- the threat of climate change
- the persistence of global poverty
- the development of social change philanthropy
We also support a small number of organisations which reflect the special interests and areas of expertise of our trustees.
We hope you will enjoy reading about our work and the organisations we are proud to support.
Response to the Covid-19 pandemic
The Covid -19 pandemic is causing great suffering globally. In addition to our programmed grant-giving the trustees have responded to this crisis by establishing a fund from our resources to support work in the global South, amongst communities most affected by the virus and its consequences. Initial grants have been made to projects in India and South Africa.
As with all our grant-giving, we cannot accept unsolicited applications. We are working through our network of contacts to reach communities in great need of assistance.
Additionally the crisis has presented some challenges for our existing grantees. FMF is a signatory to the Funders’ Pledge on Covid-19. We are working with our grantees as helpfully and flexibly as we can to ensure that their staff and volunteers are safe and supported, and their vital work is sustained.
